Journee's current legal documents are the Pre-Production Terms and Conditions at /terms and the Pre-Production Privacy Policy at /privacy. Both pages are public and read-only, work without JavaScript, and remain available whether you are signed in or signed out. The legal links fixed near the bottom of Journee pages lead to the same documents.
Read the documents themselves before agreeing. The pages delivered by the running Journee release are authoritative; this Knowledge Base explains the product flow but does not replace, shorten, or reinterpret their legal text. They describe a pre-production service and must not be assumed to be final launch terms.
Agreement during onboarding
Journee presents one unchecked agreement control in /onboarding. Its Terms and Privacy links open separately so you can review them without abandoning the form.
Save progress can save a valid onboarding checkpoint without agreement.
Finish onboarding requires the profile fields that apply to you and agreement to the exact current documents.
An unchecked control leaves onboarding incomplete. Journee does not treat visiting either document as agreement.
The receipt belongs to the signed-in user, not to the shared party profile. An agreement by one owner or user does not satisfy the requirement for another. Journee records the server-owned agreement version, document versions and content identifiers, exact agreement sentence, context, and database time; it does not trust the browser to choose those facts.
Profile-gated work becomes available only when both conditions are true:
the user's onboarding profile is complete; and
that user has a receipt matching Journee's exact current agreement.
Public browsing and public legal pages remain available without a receipt. Signing in or creating a guest draft does not silently accept the documents or execute a recovered marketplace action.
When the agreement changes
Publishing a new active agreement makes an older receipt insufficient for the current gate. If your profile is already complete, Journee returns you to the same /onboarding route in a focused Review the current agreement state. You do not have to recreate the party profile: review both linked documents, select the control, and choose Continue.
If the active agreement changes while a form is open, Journee rejects the stale version and presents the current documents with the control unchecked. Review them again instead of repeatedly submitting the old page. A successful retry for an agreement already recorded is safe and does not create a second receipt for the same user and version.
Agreement is not marketing consent and does not turn on optional notification topics. Manage those separately in My Profile.
